Refund Policy
This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which customers may request a replacement, correction, or refund for products purchased from Cast Döküm. As we manufacture customized cast parts based on customer-provided technical drawings and specifications, refund eligibility is limited to specific cases detailed below.
1. Custom Production – No Standard Refunds
All products manufactured by Cast Döküm are custom-made according to customer drawings, material specifications, and order instructions.
Therefore:
Orders cannot be refunded or canceled once production has started, except in cases where Cast Döküm is directly responsible for a clear and proven manufacturing error.
2. Eligibility for Replacement or Correction
A replacement, remanufacture, or correction may be offered if:

The delivered product does not match the approved technical drawing

The material grade is incorrect

Dimensional tolerances exceed the agreed limits

There is a verified casting defect beyond acceptable standards

The wrong quantity was delivered
-
Surface quality is below the agreed specification
To qualify, all claims must meet the following conditions:
2.1 Inspection Period
Customers must inspect the products within 7 days of delivery.
2.2 Evidence Requirement
The customer must provide:

Photographs or videos clearly showing the issue

Measured dimensional reports (if applicable)

Batch/heat number or product label
-
A written explanation of the defect
Claims submitted after 7 days may not be accepted unless otherwise agreed.
3. Non-Eligible Situations
Refunds, replacements, or remanufactures will not be provided in the following cases:

Products damaged after delivery

Defects caused by machining, assembly, or storage by the customer

Issues resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or revised technical drawings provided by the customer

Differences arising from material variations allowed within agreed standards

Normal casting tolerances

Force majeure conditions affecting delivery or appearance
4. Resolution Options
If the claim is accepted after evaluation, Cast Döküm will offer one of the following solutions:
4.1. Remanufacture
The defective part(s) will be re-produced without additional cost.
4.2. Replacement
A new shipment will be prepared under the same conditions.
4.3. Partial Refund or Credit Note
In exceptional cases and subject to management approval, a partial refund or a credit note for future orders may be provided.
The chosen method depends on the nature of the defect, urgency, and mutual agreement with the customer.
5. Return of Goods
If the defective goods need to be returned:

Cast Döküm will inform the customer in writing

Return shipping costs may be covered depending on responsibility (Incoterms apply)

Products must be returned in original or equivalent protective packaging
Goods returned without prior written approval will not be accepted.
6. Order Cancellations

Orders can only be canceled before production begins.

If raw materials, patterns, or molds are purchased or prepared, related costs may be charged.

Once molten preparation or molding has started, the order is no longer cancellable.
